Three years ago Koua Fong Lee’s Toyota Corolla was going so fast it killed three people. He was sentenced to eight years in prison for vehicular homicide after he was accused of going between seventy and ninety miles an hour on the highway, exiting and hitting a vehicle stopped ahead of him. Lee has always claimed he was not in control and tried to stop the car, but he was convicted anyway.
Now prosecutors and relatives of the victims believe his case merits review. Lee has served nearly 2 and one-half years of his sentence and is relieved to find that people are beginning to believe his claims.
