MO Supreme Court – All Sex Offenders Must Register

The Court found that a federal law requiring all sex offenders, no matter the date of the conviction, to register with their state’s sex offender registry, supersedes Missouri law that only required those convicted after 1995 to register.  Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster released the following public statement, “Parents and communities deserve to know when sex offenders live nearby, no matter when the offender committed the offense.”
