Red Light Cameras Under Constitutional Attack in Missouri

Former State Trooper Adolph Belt is suing the city of Springfield, Missouri alleging his $100 red light camera ticket is unconstitutional.  Belt alleges the red light cameras violate his due process rights because they punish the owners of cars photographed running red lights instead of the driver of the car.  A similar constitutional attack in Chicago failed in federal court.
